Cancellation by the Tenant

If the tenant wishes to cancel the reservation, this must be communicated to the landlord in writing or by email. Depending on the timing of the cancellation, the following conditions apply:

More than 4 weeks before the arrival date: 100% of the amount already paid will be refunded.

Between 4 and 1 week before the arrival date: 50% of the amount already paid will be refunded.

Less than 1 week before the arrival date: No refund will be given. The full rental amount remains due.

Cancellation by the Landlord

In exceptional cases, the landlord may be forced to cancel the reservation due to unforeseen circumstances such as technical problems or other unexpected situations. In such cases:

The amount already paid will be fully refunded to the tenant.

The landlord will, if desired, offer an alternative by rebooking the stay to another available date.

Force Majeure

In the event of force majeure, such as natural disasters, pandemics, or other serious circumstances that make the stay impossible, the landlord is not obligated to refund the rental amount. However, the landlord will try to offer an appropriate solution, such as rebooking the stay to a later date. Force majeure includes, but is not limited to, extreme weather conditions, government restrictions, and unforeseen health crises.

Refund Period

In the case of a valid cancellation by the tenant where a refund of the rental amount has been agreed, the amount due will be refunded within 14 days after confirmation of the cancellation to the bank account provided by the tenant.
